Waikiki & Honolulu Sight

Immerse yourself in the lush greenery and vibrant flowers that can only be found on the lush tropical islands of Hawaii. Foster Botanical Gardens is home to a wide variety of tropical birds, making it the perfect place for the whole family.

Of course, a garden wouldn’t be complete without an interesting display of flora. The Foster Botanical Gardens is home to trees that are part of Hawaii’s Exceptional Tree Program, which protects and classifies trees that have significance historically or culturally, or that fit into other criteria including age and rarity. You’ll be sure to see some interesting plants and animals in the gardens.

The Foster Botanical Gardens requires just a small admission fee, but once inside, you have plenty of opportunities to explore the sights yourself on a self-guided tour or take advantage of the free guided tours every morning at 10:30 a.m.

Foster Botanical Gardens is nestled in the heart of Honolulu. To get to the gardens, begin by heading south on Highway 92 to Smith Street where you will turn left. Drive along Maunakea Street, then turn right to soon see your destination on the right!
