This is a world-class Hawaiian beach attracting experienced surfers. DT Fleming Beach is not as touristy, which is a bonus for those looking for a certain amount of people around but not overcrowded to the point of the beach being overrun with visitors.
Sun yourself in the warmth of the beach and its environment, but cover up before that wind sets in later in the day.
The beach park has everything a couple, a family, or even a solo traveller need to enjoy a day out in West Maui. For those who look for the safety of a patrolled beach, DT Fleming beach has your back with lifeguards for your peace of mind. A great addition, especially if you are enjoying the beach with kids.
Some say this beach is the one to visit when on Maui, and some even go as far as saying it’s the most beautiful beach in Hawaii. That’s a lot of pressure for a beach. Somehow, I think it can handle it.
Where: Located at Honokahua Bay in West Maui, in the Kapalua area.
Accessibility: By Car and accessible by bus and a short 10-minute walk from Kapalua stops. Parking is available.
