Fishing At Black Rock
Many come to fish here in the earlier hours of the morning. Some will divulge because it’s less crowded and parking is simpler, and others will say that the peacefulness of the waters lends itself to more success on the end of the line.
Morning fishing can begin as early as 4:00 A.M. with these keen anglers looking for bait fish as the beginning of their day catching something larger.
For some, any time of the day is good, as fishing is a calming activity.
Night anglers prefer to set up their position after all the people activity has retired for the night.
Some say fishing should not be allowed here as it is a popular spot for divers and snorkelers. The issue will always be the same for any Hawaiian activity – a little respect for others goes a long way. We are all here to enjoy ourselves, consideration for the landmark itself and others who wish to enjoy its paramount.
Snorkeling and Diving at Black Rock
At the end of Ka'anapali Beach, the water is calm and perfect for those who like to be at one with the water. Snorkeling enthusiasts gather here to take advantage of the rock formations, setting sights on the underwater world in real time.
The north side of the beach is likely the best area. In terms of times, tours might begin mid-morning, or if you have your own gear, earlier may suit you.
Typically, the best times for both activities are between 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.
Either way, the experience will override any concern about time, in fact, you may want to stay here and live with the sea life forever!
