Kauai Botanical Gardens
North Kauai Sights
The beauty of a botanical garden draws many people at every point in the world, but the North of Kauai is home to some say the best. Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens offer more than most with its pristine waterfalls, stunning plant life, and peace-inducing fish-filled ponds.
This is an impressive wonderland filled with meadows and farmlands, a hardwood plantation, and never-to-be-forgotten lagoons.
Check out the International Desert Garden and see for yourself the cacti, aloe, and agave growing and thriving in this seemingly isolated part of the world. The plant life in these gardens is beyond expectation. Spice trees like cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg live happily around hibiscus and traditional native Hawaiian flora. Watch out for the displays of carnivorous plants such as butterworts and pitcher plants.
Guided tours are offered to ensure visitors make the most of the gardens and learn the history of this natural wonder.
Choose which suits you from seasonal bird tours, casual stroll tours, or take a walk on the wild side with a combination of walk ride or trek.
Never boring, and never to be forgotten, Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens is one of those sights that remain with you to ensure you recall it for others to enjoy on their visit to Kauai.
Na ‘Āina Kai translates to “Lands by the Sea”. It is certainly that, and one part of Kauai you’ll never forget.
