2022 Events and Festivities
Moon Walk at Waimea Valley
Oahu’s Waimea Valley is a religiously significant and stunningly beautiful place - especially under glowing Hawaiian moonlight. Pair that with a dinner buffet catered by Ke Nui Kitchen, and you’ve got one of the most fantastic experiences happening on any of the islands all month long.

Duke’s OceanFest
Described as Waikiki’s premier ocean sports festival, this celebration of Duke Kahanamoku is ostensibly a surfing competition - but it’s so much more than that. You will also find water polo, paddleboarding, volleyball, and even dogs on surfboards. This is fun in the sun epitomized, and it lasts more than a full week!
When: August 20th - August 28th, 7 AM - 6 PM

40th Annual “Waikiki Style” Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival
Music lovers shouldn’t miss this iconic showcase of one of Hawaii’s most beloved and distinctive instruments. Arguably one of the finest and inarguably one of the longest-standing acoustic guitar traditions in the world, the Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival takes its many master players to the Waikiki Aquarium on August 13th.

18th Annual Korean Festival
Korean culture runs deep in the Hawaiian community. This beautiful and dynamic outdoor festival is a perfect chance to witness and celebrate that culture. There will be live traditional music, dance, and more outrageously tasty authentic food than you can possibly eat.

14th Annual Hubb Keiki Fest
Kids on boogie boards and raising awareness about the ocean - what’s not to like? Plus, if you race to change out of your wetsuit, you might still have time to make it to the slack key guitar festival at 4.

Handmade in Hawaii Fair
This is a real treat for lovers of arts and crafts. Pearlridge Centers will host August’s Handmade in Hawaii Fair, presenting a wonderful chance to shop beautiful creations and support local businesses at the same time.
