Hoolaulea 2024
The Hoolaulea in Kapalama has it all. Bring the whole family and wander to find authentic local cuisine. Night In Chinatown & Lunar New Year Parade
Honolulu is the only place in Hawaii with a Chinatown. This February, across its 36-acre expanse, all of Hawaii’s deep-seated Chinese heritage will be on full celebratory display. The all-day affair is so laden with intriguing events it would be impossible to list them comprehensively. Suffice it to say there will be more than enough fun for the whole family and countless opportunities to learn and experience the distinct beauty of Chinese culture.

Honolulu Joy of Sake Festival
Speaking of cultural traditions, let's discuss what an upcoming festival describes as Hawaii's "150-year love affair" with sake. This iconic Japanese rice wine is ever-so-slightly stronger than most other wines. Let's look at the festival to realize the depth of this love affair. It is hosted by an organization called The Joy Of Sake. To host its sake celebration this February, The Joy Of Sake has commandeered the entire Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu and will feature no less than 578 varieties on offer. It is more than just drinking and being merry, however - the story of sake is one of great historical import, offering a unique insight into the rich influence of Japanese immigrants on Hawaii we know today.

Aloha is for Lovers Market
This is Hawaii's premier pop-up market. You're bound to spend some quality time here. There seems to be, in principle, almost nothing you can't find at the Aloha Home Markets - except, we suppose, non-Hawaiian-made products or lousy food and music. But if you're looking for those things, you're in the wrong place anyway!
